Picture Perfect Weekend for 23rd Eagan Art Festival

Eagan’s twenty-third annual Art Festival got off to a picture perfect start Saturday as dozens of artists, writers, and musicians gathered at the central fairgrounds near the Eagan Community Center for a two-day celebration of the arts.
Although showers arrived in the afternoon, the festival began under sunny skies, with pleasant temperatures and cool breezes helping to bring out a crowd. In addition to art and displays, the event featured live musical performances and fair food including cheese curds, bread cones and kettle corn.
Vendors included a variety of artists and authors selling books, beads, watercolors, oils, tie dye, glass works, crochet, cards, and wood crafts. The festival provides a market and display space for artists and crafters to sell their work. Visitors wandered through the displays looking for unique gifts, wardrobe items, and home décor.
The festival continues through 5 p.m. on Sunday, June 25.
